Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) is a consumer based, commercially operated, not for profit organisation. ACE is dedicated to providing a quality telecommunication service for people who are Deaf or who have a hearing or speech impairment.

Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) is a not-for-profit, Australian organisation dedicated to empowering those who are Deaf or have a hearing, speech or communication impairment, to obtain access to the telephone and other telecommunication networks.

The role

Relay Officers use innovative technology to relay calls from people who are Deaf or have a hearing or communication impairment and members of the general community. The National Relay Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To be successful, applicants need to demonstrate the following skills:

- Typing Speed of at least 50 words per minute
- Keyboard accuracy of 98% or more
- Proficient spelling and vocabulary skills in English
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
