PHISA is a support group for parents, family and friends interested in the special needs of hearing impaired children, and it aims to promote, advance, assist and improve the education and the social and moral welfare of hearing impaired persons. PHISA publishes a quarterly newsletter with news of medical developments, personal interest items and other affiliated organisations' news.

Regular social activities - morning teas, BBQs, Family camps. $12 per year membership. Eligibility: Full membership - parents with children who have a hearing loss of any degree; Associate membership - anyone with hearing impaired/deaf children's interest at heart eg professionals, ENTs, grandparents.
