FACES 2004

FACES Program 2008.

APPLICATIONS OPEN 1ST JULY

Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) is a national not-for-profit community-based company. ACE's mission is to facilitate equity of access to the telecommunication network for people who are deaf or who have a hearing or speech impairment.

The Friends of ACE Support Program (FACES) was established in July 2000 with the primary objective of supporting not-for-profit projects which contribute to the development, strengthening and enhancement of various communities within Australia, particularly those who are deaf or have a hearing or a speech impairment. Projects which also result in secondary benefits to the wider Australian community may be considered. The first round of grants was awarded for projects that were undertaken in 2001.

Not-for-profit projects can include research, services, creative or performing arts, education, culture, history, pilot projects and so forth. Preferred projects will have a focus on people who are deaf, have a hearing, speech or communication impairment.

Applications from individuals and organisations are welcome. Individuals must be accompanied by a sponsoring body. Organisations and sponsoring bodies must have an interest in advocacy or service delivery for or by people who are deaf, have a hearing, speech or communication impairment.

Grants are awarded once a year.

Submission dates: 1st July - 15th September.
