It has been an exciting year for ACE and our communities as we continue to open life changing opportunities. Since July 2010 we have further expanded our technology trials to 400 Captioned Telephone participants and translated 390 hours of Video Relay Service calls using Auslan. We have developed two innovative smart phone applications; Smart Auslan and EIPR, expanded our Sponsorship programs and personally demonstrated our new technologies to over 2,000 people around Australia.
We must lead the way
For over sixteen years Australians have depended on ACE to facilitate equal access to telecommunications. Today, we are even more determined for everyone to have access to communication. We believe in a brighter future and we will continue to lead the way through innovation so that we may better serve our communities.
Our partnership
ACE is a partnership between people who are Deaf, communication or hearing impaired and the hearing. We are united by our determination that people who are Deaf, communication or hearing impaired will have access to all forms of communication of their choice. At ACE we will achieve this by facilitating and providing services to meet the changing needs of the partnership.
Australian Communication Exchange is a national not-for-profit organisation and Australia’s leading service provider for the Deaf, hearing impaired and speech impaired communities.
